William Chad Newsom is a # 1 bestselling audiobook narrator, and has been heard on over 1,000 radio stations worldwide as part of the cast of Surround Bible: The Real Story of Christmas and Surround Bible: The True Story of Easter, with the latter also featured in the Museum of the Bible.
He studied the art and craft of audio drama at the Audio Drama Institute, learning from the creators, writers, actors, sound designers, and musicians behind the legendary Adventures in Odyssey radio drama. And, along with Kenny Sargent of Sargent Family Productions and Phil Lollar, writer, director and creator of Adventures in Odyssey, Chad co-hosts the Story is Everything podcast, which is premiering with a live show at Sonic Con 2026.
Newsom has produced several podcasts and written and produced music for both podcasts and audiobooks. He has written or contributed to twelve books, including two novels and a book on JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. One novel was translated into Turkish, and he contributed to a French language book on Tolkien.
Newsom and his wife Angela have been married for 32 years and have seven children and one grandchild. They live in a cabin on a hill in the woods deep in the Southern countryside.
